Humble Beginnings
About AAA, a Pest Control Company in McAllen
Three generations have run this pest control company in McAllen since Luciano Gutierrez started it in 1977.

In 1977, my grandfather made a trade most people wouldn’t.
He swapped a successful career as an architect in Mexico for chasing roaches in America.
I’m not kidding.
His name was Luciano Gutierrez Sr.
Until the pest control business was up and running, he’d split his time going back and forth. I can’t imagine what it was like to do that, but I can tell you one thing for sure.
We’re all very grateful for his sacrifice.
This company isn’t just about killing bugs or making money. It’s about honoring my grandfather’s legacy and dedication to family.
In 2009, I got the chance to buy into the business and take my seat at the table. My uncle joined me as I bet my family’s life savings that we could take this company to the next level.
And we did.
Over the last 17 years, we’ve grown, we’ve added more trucks, but most of all, we’ve earned the trust of our community. When you search for pest control, you have a lot of choices, but what those search results won’t tell you is the only thing that matters.
Who will treat you like family?
We’re competing against local companies, but we’re also competing against huge national chains with big budgets and fancy everything. People pick us over them for one reason, and it might not be what you think.
We’re nothing like other companies.
From the second you call to the moment your problem is solved, we make things easy. And when we say easy, we mean easy.
Easy appointments, on-time arrivals, fair pricing, and real results no matter how big or small your problem is. Once we solve things, we’ll keep coming back so bugs don’t.
If you told my grandfather 50 years ago we’d be using pocket computers to digitally map properties so we can solve problems faster, he would have looked at you funny, and I wouldn’t blame him.
That’s the kind of technology we’ve invested in, trained our technicians on, and it’s a great example of how we don’t just say we’re great; we prove we’re great every time we roll a truck.
Next year we’ll celebrate 50 years in business, and we’re just getting started. My son hopes to join the team soon, and we can’t wait to welcome him.
Thanks for all these years, and please know this.
We’re here when you need us because my grandfather wouldn’t have it any other way.
Sincerely,

Here when you need us
We don’t change our playbook because it works
From One Man to Three Generations
Luciano started AAA in 1977. His grandson Hugo grew up in the work, bought the company in 2017, and his son is training for his license.

Being on time is a basic courtesy, it shouldn’t be optional

When we pull up, we get right to work because every second counts
Keep Your Word
We say what we mean, and when we say gone, we mean gone
Did you know?
Those leafcutter ants marching across a Valley yard aren’t eating the leaves they carry. They’re hauling them underground to grow fungus gardens, which makes them farmers who were raising crops millions of years before people ever were.

About Our Pest Control Company in McAllen
Luciano Gutierrez Sr. founded AAA Pest Control in 1977, and the company has been killing Valley bugs from McAllen ever since. What began as one man’s business is now run by his family’s third generation. That founding date is why locals have trusted the name for almost fifty years.
AAA Pest Control has served McAllen and the Rio Grande Valley since 1977, close to fifty years. Three generations of the Gutierrez family have run the business in that time. Longevity like that is hard to fake in a small market where reputation travels fast.
AAA Pest Control has stayed in the Gutierrez family across three generations, so yes, it’s family-owned and not a franchise. Hugo grew up in the trade, and his teenage son is already planning to earn his license, a fourth generation in training. Local ownership means your money stays in the Valley and in McAllen.
Hugo Gutierrez Jr. owns AAA Pest Control today, after buying the company from his uncle in 2017. He’s been hands-on in the trade since 2009, so the owner is also a working exterminator who knows McAllen homes. Buying the family business back was his way of keeping his grandfather’s name going.
AAA Pest Control holds Texas Department of Agriculture license TPCL10516, the number the state uses to track a legitimate pest control business. Anyone can buy a sprayer, but a TPCL number means the state watches the company’s training and chemical use. You can ask any McAllen pest company for its number before hiring.
The certified applicator at AAA Pest Control is tested by the state in the categories the work requires, including the termite category needed for WDI reports and pretreatments. That means treatments in McAllen homes are designed by someone the state examined, not guessed at. Technicians work under that applicator after their own state training.
AAA Pest Control is 5-star rated with over 83 Google reviews from Valley families in and around McAllen. The reviews tell the story better than we can, from termite jobs to roach rescues. Reading them is one of the best ways to size up any pest company before you call.
Sloppy property measurements cost homeowners money when a treatment zone or grade problem gets guessed instead of measured. AAA Pest Control uses Moasure 3D measurement to record a McAllen property in inches, so grade and drainage findings are exact rather than “appears poor.” The tool measures the property; it never detects termites, and a licensed applicator still makes every treatment call.
